Don't governments have enough money? I think they could do with a lot less actually.

That's what conservatives always say (but not always do): decrease taxes, make the governments smaller, give money back to people, so people will spend money more efficiently than the government.

Forced mask use is a human rights crime.

Universal declaration of human rights, Article 29

1. Everyone has duties to the community in which alone the free and full development of his personality is possible.

2. In the exercise of his rights and freedoms, everyone shall be subject only to such limitations as are determined by law solely for the purpose of securing due recognition and respect for the rights and freedoms of others and of meeting the just requirements of morality, public order and the general welfare in a democratic society.

The government forces me not to hit my neighbor with a baseball bat on the head! They cut my freedoms! This is a human rights crime against me!

When I hear things like this, I replace "mask" with "pants" to see if it makes any sense. :-)

don't worry all the COVID related research is spot-on

Yeah yeah, I'll go ahead and keep doing things however I want, thank you!

Casual announcement of animal experimentation results. I wonder what cruelties are concealed within? Long-term imprisonment? Vivisection?

Who decides how many hours we're allowed to work, driving trucks, fixing jet engines, taking care of children, or doing anything else?

Our and our employer's liability for errors is enough motivation to maintain safety at a reasonable level.

Put another way, is there statistical evidence of the efficacy of these regulations in reducing trucking accidents? Not that I could find!

I have an idea. Remove government management of this industry.

Exactly.

Everyone should know it's completely illegal to open a hospital. It's illegal to charge less at 3am when you're not busy.

Any and all competition, even weak competition like Urgent Care, should be encouraged.

So your solution to overly complex/cumbersome regulations and laws...is to completely deregulate the healthcare industry? You can't think of something in the middle that's not as reckless?

It's not just cumbersome - it's completely illegal to open a hospital. The lack of competition is the root of all of this mess.

Not sure why the people of America need to be spending tax money on sorting this out, or punishing this person. If Netflix wants to allow their business to be run this way, it's fine with me.

How about we skip the middle-man and reduce their budget instead? That's my preferred way of limiting government.

We're not ranking high enough on Google, better get the government involved!
