I'm interested in your product manager position. https://www.linkedin.com/in/josephmdwyer/ I'm not a coder but I have managed software engineers in the past and done UI/UX design and user research/testing, customer support, technical writing, etc...

I've been a non-technical cofounder for multiple startups and co-founded two non-profit makerspaces. I currently live in Florida and would like to work remote for a dynamic and fast growing company.

Agree, lived in Tokyo, San Francisco, Kentucky and visited many cities. Small towns with “nothing to do” are the places for real camaraderie

So we’ve from government issued inflationary currencies to multinational scrip backed by government currencies. Sounds like bitcoin is a better hedge than ever against today’s economic environment.

They're building EOS, they're probably going to be dumping Ethereum for the forseeable future. Pretty interesting strategy to be honest.

Imagine raising your capital with the stock of another public company, then your proceed to continuously devalue said public company by dumping your shares in order to gain liquid capital to build your product.

Edit: The most interesting thing to come out of the cryptocurrency is that the lines between equity and currency have become very blurred

That's why some of the more progressive platforms opt for a dual token model, separating the governance token from the utility token. The founders of one of these used the example that you wouldn't go into an Apple Store to buy an Apple product with Apple shares.

Why couldn't you though. The ONLY reason now is that it's not as liquid as cash, but that's sort of the point and what's so exciting about the layer of automation that the crypto platforms are bringing. If it has value you can use it directly in a trade, and if the receiver wants to hold there value in a different token, the exchange can be completely automated. This brings freedom to the holder, they can hold there value in anything they want, it's not longer determined by what the buyer will accept.

I assume you're talking about NEO :P

I work on this

https://o3.network/

NEO was one of the first, but there are many now. The dual token model is also popular with commodity tokens and stable coins. The separation of concerns does help prevent certain conflicts of interest.

I'll try to check out the mobile wallet sometime.

Thank you. ICO's fundamentally change the nature of global marketplace dynamics. Whether its stocks, bonds, tokens, or whatever other digital asset, it is now shown that these items can be traded by anyone, anywhere, and anytime.

This is a fundamental shift in how markets have traditionally worked. Accessible by few, siloed by regional boundaries.

This post comes off as another angry bitcoin maximalist, upset that blockchain isn't being used the way they want it to be used

> ICO's fundamentally change the nature of global marketplace dynamics. Whether its stocks, bonds, tokens, or whatever other digital asset, it is now shown that these items can be traded by anyone, anywhere, and anytime.

Sorry, what? this is literally untrue, and pure bullshit.

Anyone can buy any of these at any time already. There are online marketplaces that trade these things 24/7.

The only restriction is that a potential investor has to prove that they realise that the value of an investment can go down as well as up. That, in other words, they're not an idiot, and won't demand that the government "do something about it" when their investment tanks.

Of course, because of that niggling little regulation, you can't spam everyone with ridiculous promises of untold wealth if they'll only invest their life savings in the latest ponzi scheme. Until ponzicoin came along, of course.

"The only restriction is that a potential investor has to prove that they realise that the value of an investment can go down as well as up. That, in other words, they're not an idiot, and won't demand that the government "do something about it" when their investment tanks."

So you're saying that isn't possible? Very few people in the ICO space are demanding the government do anything.

Also live outside of the US and you'll realize how untrue your statement is. You'll see very quickly that many services that deal with asset trading are region locked (Robin Hood) for example

Huobi and OkEx have been doing this for years and years. The CEO of Binance had a nice (now deleted) rant on reddit, calling them out for this. Solution: Don't use the sketchy as hell exchanges

Welcome to why the cryptocurrency market exists. Can't wait till the accredited investor rule dies

I'm pretty sure the law has won the first round in that particular fight.

You’ve reminded me of the horrors of “keep, problem, try”

Let’s discuss this every week, and then not take any actual action

NEO is still very raw, and it takes a lot of work to get involved, however it’s a tight nit developer community and some serious opportunities to get involved and shape the project. Source: I am active in the developer community and have a company building on NEO

I’ve been interested in NEO but not sure where to begin. Do you have any links you could recommend? Also tell a bit more about your company and what you are building if you’d like.

https://github.com/CityOfZion/awesome-neo

lots of resources here, also recommend mentioning the discord here

https://discord.gg/R8v48YA

This is where the primary technical discussion happens, and where all the devs hang out. Our company is here, mobile wallets are our first product :)

https://o3.network

Thanks. I checked out your site and it mentions open source and commitment to the community but I can’t find the repo for your iOS wallet on https://github.com/O3Labs
