I vote. However, for particular positions like judges, I won't because I am not educated. I spend a lot of time researching propositions and candidates. If all the candidates look the same, I won't vote. I also won't vote on the "lesser of two evils".

What resources do you use for your research?

do any other banks have this?

Chase.

Really? Where? I've been a chase customer since they bought BankOne in ~2006 and haven't seen this.

Sign in to the online portal. If you have a credit card with them you can generate virtual ones tied to that same card.

you can call local beekeepers who will come out and take them home. I had a swarm adopt my tree as a new home. I called a local keeper and he came and removed them free of charge.

did anyone else find the background music inappropriate and distracting from the awesome research and results?

Fixed.

I found it annoying because I was trying to listen to it being silent like they described it.

your parts may be larger than a turkey. Notice that the DIY oven is much taller? It can fit longer parts.

this is the best hacker news thread ever. DIY powder coating AND Harbor Freight! Bam!

I like the metaphor... whats interesting is the people complaining about the monkeys with sticks and rocks were the ones who gave the monkeys the sticks and rocks and now are sore about it.

The dealers chose to enact legislation rather than quit a business model that was being squeezed by their supplier. Find me a business that doesn't squeeze suppliers and vendors to increase their bottom line. The worst enemy of the free market isn't itself, its the crony capitalism that takes place when government gets involved. Its rare (if ever) that the intentions become the outcomes.

Are you saying the dealers were not within their rights to fight back and defend their piece of the supply chain? Or are you saying that using legislation was "cheating"? I'm a little confused.

I'd say this is an almost perfect example of intentions becoming outcomes, actually.

huh?

The intention was to suppress competition, and it worked.

I'll be the first. I'd be very concerned about this type of communication system and my vehicle. My concerns aren't limited to government surveillance, but that certainly is one. I'm also concerned about malware or other security vulnerabilities. I'm also concerned about the government "requiring it" and the related costs associated with it. It will certainly drive up costs to consumers.

I'll be the second.

I really don't think there's any reason for car's to have inter communication systems. Using statistics and light signals, cars can have the theoretical capacity to guess what others cars are about to do.

One reason to have a communication system between cars is to be able to link them together in a "train" on freeways.

Nah, using visual recognition software, this can be achieved too.

The cars all need to brake at the same time, a purely visual system can't manage that.

I'm just reporting what auto manufacturers have been discussing at international standards meetings.

I don't believe that to be true. I'm a 1-man Corp. Corporations only there for liability limitations...

And, in general, you can't limit your liability if you are a 1-man corp. Courts can "pierce the corporate veil" if it turns out the corporation is acting entirely on the behalf of the invdividual.

Generally that happens when the company is not acting like a conpany. A simple example being when you don't have and/or document yearly meetings and such. LLCs are commonly used to shelter individuals from things like rental properties.
