There actually have been arguments on HN about surge pricing -- while not every government action is political per se, the subset that provokes arguments on HN is probably out of bounds for the week.
Every government action is absolutely political, by definition. The problem is that HN regulars apparently think "politics" just means "stuff people argue about".
