I visit HN multiple times a day, and in my experience, this sort of thing is very rare. I see plenty of posts about seemingly-unjustified bans, though, like this one.
At any rate, not sure why you're being so argumentative here. It was pretty obvious to me what OP was trying to say, and it sounds like you're just deliberately refusing to understand so you have something to argue about.
If someone were repetitively replying with negativity to posts they disagreed with, I might call them "argumentative", especially if their replies were dismissive and snarky. Was I doing something like that here? I don't personally see it, but I'm open to criticism.
There are people who will label any opinion they disagree with as "argumentative", however. That's not what's going on here, is it?
